To ask about your personal information, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to janarth@debtconsolidate.ca. If you received the results email from us, replying to it reaches the same person and works just as well.
We never ask for and never want your social insurance number, your banking credentials, or a credit card. Nobody legitimate needs those to give you an estimate.
The estimate this page produces is not an approval and not an offer of credit. It does not involve a credit check, and using it has no effect whatsoever on your credit score.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It reaches only the service providers that make the tool work:
Some of these providers store and process information on servers outside Quebec, including in the United States, where local authorities may have legal means to access it. We share only what each provider needs to perform its function.
This page loads no tracking of any kind until you act. The Meta advertising pixel stays switched off while you are reading, and switches on only when you press Unlock my calculator, which is the consent the notice under that button describes. If you never press it, nothing is ever set. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.
Your browser also stores your contact details and your consent choice locally so the calculator does not ask twice if you come back. That information stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Contact details and estimates are kept while your enquiry is active and for as long afterwards as professional and legal obligations require a broker to retain client records. After that they are deleted. If you tell us you are not interested, we keep only what is needed to honour that request and to avoid contacting you again.
You are entitled to ask us, at any time, to:
Write to janarth@debtconsolidate.ca, or simply reply to any email you have had from us, and we will act on it. You do not have to explain why. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
The site is served only over an encrypted connection, and your submission travels encrypted to us. Access to the notifications is limited to the broker. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever put your information at real risk of harm, we would tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we use your information will not be applied retroactively to information already collected without asking you first.
